Bitcoin Reclaims $77K Amid Stock Rally, While Geopolitical Risks Cap Gains

Bitcoin rebounded on Thursday, climbing back above the $77,000 level after recent declines, supported by improving global risk appetite that boosted demand for both cryptocurrencies and equities.

The world’s largest digital asset rose 1.8% to $77,143 as of 10:27 AM Saudi time, after briefly falling earlier this week to levels near $75,000.

Bitcoin gained about 12% in April, driven by optimism over a temporary ceasefire between the United States and Iran, alongside record highs on Wall Street.

Earlier in the month, Bitcoin surpassed the $79,000 level amid expectations of easing tensions in the Middle East and strong institutional inflows. However, the $80,000 mark remains a key resistance level that has repeatedly capped upward momentum over the past month.

Investor sentiment has also been supported by resilient equity markets, with both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite reaching successive record highs, reinforcing appetite for higher-risk assets such as cryptocurrencies.

Additional support came from strong earnings reported by Apple, which boosted confidence in the technology sector, driven by solid iPhone demand and record services revenue.

Analysts note that Bitcoin is increasingly trading in line with broader macroeconomic trends, behaving similarly to equities during periods of high liquidity and market optimism.

Despite this, gains remain limited due to ongoing geopolitical risks. Reports indicated that U.S. President Donald Trump was set to receive a briefing on potential military options against Iran, raising concerns about further escalation that could weigh on global markets.
